Call of the Void was designed as a narrative focused system that featured game mechanics that would facilitate the story of facing off against cosmically horrible forces. It was designed to play to the creator's strengths of creating one shot sessions and mini campaigns in other tabletop games. The system has a heavy focus on horror and struggle due to the creator's fascination with the ideas and themes cosmic horror stories provide.
John Lin is a student at the University of Texas at Dallas. He is pursuing an ATEC General Major with the goal of becoming a game designer. He wants to create game systems and mechanics that amplify the storytelling potential in games of all mediums. His interests are Tabletop Roleplaying Games (TTRPG), Writing, Storytelling, Improv, Video Games, and Movies.
